| Title: | FANTASY FLYER by Achmed Sharma | 29,00 EURO |
Achmed Sharma, born in Hamburg, started skydiving at Hartenholm in 1989.
After doing some Relative Work, he found his way in being a cameraflyer in
freestyle. One highlight in his career was the gold medal together with his
team-mate Anne Böhm at the world championship in freestyle / intermediate
section at Ampfing in 1995. One year later, he experienced the worst side of his
skydiving life, when his complete equipment (parachute + video) was stolen at
his hometown Hamburg. After a short rest, Achmed discovered freeflying as his
future challenge.
His first ever published skydiving movie FANTASY FLYER
impresses by its high quality and professionalism. The music composed by famed
German musician Tom Adolphi is to be valued as the best film-music
accompanying a skydiving movie since the times of Michael Lloyd´s classics (Carl
Boenish films). The refrain "get funky, get freaky, get up, get high / get up
and fly" fits just perfect for drop zones as background music and in airplanes
while climbing to altitude...
Contents: Lots of head-downs, turns and loops in small and large groups
are just a dream for every freeflyer. However, Achmed has much more to offer:
Freeflyers holding themselves on their noses, claping into their hands, sucking
a pacifyer and eating a tomato while flying head-down. Lots of welldone gags
make this movie interesting for whuffos too. We enjoy precise space-ball-games,
colorful tube-dives, cheerful sunset dives, overshooting a loving couple in the
meadow, landings on the trailer of a truck and right beside a hot-air-balloon
and we also take a view to the pilot´s cabin, the engine and the landing gear.
The rhythm of the music with its short vocal and long instrumental parts make
this great movie an unforgettable experience!
