Christian Schmid (camera) and Oliver Furrer were the world champions in skysurfing (FAI + SSI-Pro Tour) in 1997. Christian Schmid presents the first and only instructional und entertaining video about this discipline. For beginners, Judith Graile performs some basic freefly figures like chute assis and stand ups. Then, the performance of the world champions really impresses: While Oliver shows a high speed helicopter he is followed by Christian in a head-down position. All scenes showing cameraman and skysurfer were filmed by the famed French cinematographer Patrick Passe. All other sequences were taken by Christian Schmid with his digital SONY above Eloy (Arizona / USA), Efes (TR) and Dalaman (TR). The figures back layout, front layout, sit spin, barrel roll, rolling triple, helicopter, hen house surprise, tunnel and torpedo are performed precisely and very impressive by multiple world champion Oliver Furrer. One of the most fascinating sequences is the one when cameraman and skysurfer spin around each other with their right arm stretched out and constantly keeping the same distance of about 2 ft (60 cm) from the finger-tip of the cameraman to the finger-tip of the skysurfer.
